Feels like there is a gold ball in my throat?
Okay I am 27 weeks pregnant and for the past few days i have felt like i have a golf ball in my throat. You cannot feel it from the outside but it gets so bad… nothing i do helps! Its getting painful. I remember getting this a few times when i was younger but it went away. Anyone else have this? Any suggestions?
I also have a low thyroid… idk if that makes a differance
I think sometimes during pregnancy with women who have low thyroid can trigger enlargement of the thyroid gland because hormones are going crazy when one is going through the pregnancy phase.
As you may know, thyroid creates a hormone called thyroxin which stimulates the trillions of cells in your body to do their work.. It also controls the body’s metabolism..
Some people may get an enlarged thyroid gland if they have extremely low thyroid.. It feels like a choking sensation, like a big obstruction in your throat..
I know much about the thyroid gland.. but as for the enlarged thyroid gland, i have little knowledge. If i were you, i would search it on google or something.. (ex. Enlarged thyroid gland during pregnancy)
In my opinion, i dont think this is serious unless it is really severe.. Best thing to do is always take your medications for your thyroid.. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.
Otherwise, you can always go see a doctor.
By the way, it was great that you explained that you have low thyroid.. because everything in human anatomy relates together..
